Sony Bravia KDL32V5500U 32-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV : Bravia

I don’t want to feel about how numerous hrs i spent searching diverse web sites and reading through critiques prior to purchasing this sony tv. I was looking for a full hd tv with minimal-vitality method, lots of relationship selections, a usb enter and networking via dlna, this product ticked all the packing containers. The three 12 months guarantee and the value have been also selecting factors. In a nutshell i am impressed. Set up was uncomplicated, right after attaching the display to the stand, connecting my other audio/video tools i started off the tv and even though a complete consumer information was included, next the on monitor instructions was easy enough. The guideplus+ details download was the longest component of the setup and to be honest i’ve because turned it off as i prefer the typical guidebook. On original installation i wasn’t especially impressed with the image high-quality or the seem but following adjustment there is certainly no blockiness or ghosting and sound’s good much too. The options and choices are all very easily accessible by way of the xmb menu which is itself a excellent element and definitely easy to use.

Sony bravia kdl32v5500u 32′ lcd tv. Tv conveniently set up and furnishing fantastic high-quality right after altering manufacturing facility configurations, even when in comparison with main sony kdl40x2000. The four hdmi sockets are a really beneficial feature. The sony was a replacement for a samsung 32′, which was returned the following day owning proved defective. (a yellow vertical line, which is not unheard of evidently.

Edit: 08/02/2010big motion/trail difficulty. I upgraded from a 26′ philips hdtv. Purchased yesterday afternoon and obtained this morning. When i unpacked all i had to do is insert tv into stand and the tv was set up. It will take a little bit of time setting up the freeview and going by the manual in addition, but its only a set up that you do at the time. When it had observed all channels i desired to tweak the photo options a little bit and once i improved the photo settings, the freeview seems to be fantastic, even on more mature broadcasts like pals on e4. I also have a ps3 related to it and that is just brill.I have diffrent picture environment for that simply because you can have diffrent photograph settings for diffrent sources.

“Great TV. Buy with confidence., Great all round TV, A couple of points to be aware of, Sony Bravia KDL32V5500U 32-inch, Staggering Sony!!!!!, By first Sony TV! EDIT: 08/02/2010BIG motion/trail ISSUE”

Sony bravia kdl32v5500u 32-inch. I am no techy so will endeavor no high stage comparisons at a specialized stage. This is just a wonderful tv that does all the things i wished and predicted the sony badge to offer. So simple to use and set up, and coordinates with my bravia hdd recorder. In all probability has far more characteristics than i genuinely wanted but hey. What holds a whole lot retains a littlegreat item, crammed with all the features you will will need to enjoy your tv observing experience for lots of decades to come.

Sony bravia kdl32v5500u32′ tv. . This tv demonstrates just how far technologies has highly developed in the twelve yrs since i acquired my final tv. -glass c/r tube and all- the initial matter i observed is the bodyweight distinction i have transfered the aged device upstairs to a spare bedroom and put my back again out in the process. Out of fascination, i weighed it on the lavatory scales. Just shy of 8 stones, no wonder i am suffering. But, pounds apart, it can be the photograph high quality that astounds, and that is with no an h/d box. This sony bravia has full h/d and i’m ready to have my socks blown off when h/d results in being universally offered.

I am really delighted with my sony bravia tv. 1 i have purchased and it truly is ideal. The colours are fantastic and the hd link can make it feel as if you are in the similar space as the stars. I experienced my very first set about 5 a long time back and it hasn’t worn out. I gave it to my daughter and bought a new one. I consider it has the most effective photograph.

When using this as a pc screen, some hdmi inputs render text and fine details better than others. I use this primarily as a screen for a gaming pc and for a blu-ray player second. The bezel is a bit chunky by modern standards, but the picture quality is as good as i’ve seen. Why spend money on screen like this then tolerate tinny sound?.

A nice tv, but sound quality is dissapointing. Takes a while to warm up but once switched on the picture quality is good. I recommend an aditional sound bar to improve the sound output.

Good sound, good vision, good functions. I have two digi boxes connected to it along with a pc input. Switching between them is easy as there’s a specific button for this on the remote. The instructions for the pc input are very clear and include details of which pc output settings [resolution & frequency combinations] to try. I have it set to 1366×768 [60hz] from my pc’s vga output connector. The input can also accept a full 1920 hd input from suitably capable pcs.

I bought this set with the intention of saving some money by terminating my sky subscription and using freeview instead. It was a great dissapointment to find that the freeview information screen is taken up by so much advertising that the actual programme information is reduced to a very difficult-to-read size. I am now stuck with a set with unusable freeview and am still paying a hefty sky subscription. Anyone with less than 20/20 vision wishing to use freeview should avoid this model.

After a lot of research i bought this tv as it was recommended by which as a best buy. I was so pleased with it that i bought another one for my parents for christmas. My previous tv was a much more expensive panasonic viera but after only a year i am having problems with it not turning on. So far i am very pleased with this purchase. Just a very minor point about the layout of the remote control. The increase and decrease volume control keys are right beside the keys to change the channel, so unless you are really careful you end up changing the channel instead of the volumeamazon, as always, were absolutely brilliant with both deliveries and they arrived in under 36 hours.

Great tv – shame about the pip. Bought this tv to compliment new sky hd box as existing tv was only hd ready thus did not have a hdmi input. Criteria for selecting this tv was that it had picture-in-picture functionality as i like to use the computer and have a tv window at the same time. Great disappointment when discovering that p-i-p only works for this tv with either freeview or analogue tv and not tv from the sky box (either via the hdmi connection or the scart connection). The samsung i had allowed me to watch sky tv pictures in the pip window while using the computer, thus i could keep an eye on the football while using the computer.

Great tv, have used with hd and freeview and looks great on both but obviously far better on hd. My friends have also made the comment. If you’re looking for a decent 32″ hd telly then you can’t go wrong with this one.

Very pleased with the picture and the results through a blueray player. Slow to start up, (does it matter) sound needs to be turned up a lot, but would buy it again. Looking forward to connecting a full hd box to it for the best results. Must mention the quick delivery from amazon,(free) very pleased with them.

Bought this for its freeview/hd capability to replace my aunt’s old tv. She thinks it’s really great – especially the picture quality – and i agree.

Brilliant and one crucial point. I’ve compared this tv to the panasonic viera tv and the sony wins with no question, particularly for viewing dvd’s. When you play a dvd of a widescreen, subtitled film where the subtitles are shown below the picture, the sony bravia has a button on the remote to raise the picture up. This is vital to be able to view the subtitles which would otherwise be hidden by the size of the picture (i. But the panasonic viera does not have this function, so when you watch such a dvd on panasonic, you can’t read some of the subtitles beneath the picture.

I bought this tv to replace a samsung le32r88bd. Overall, it is a fantastic tv. I thought it would be useful to address some of the negative comments regarding this model that i came across when i was researching the various tvs within my budget. Faulty components – one reviewer stated that the lcd panel developed a fault after 20 months. This particular model comes with a free 3-year guarantee from sony. It is possible to get a 5-year guarantee from several high street stores at the time of writing. Picture colour – several reviewers complained that the picture colour was unnatural. All the settings can be changed and you can use a calibration dvd to set the tv to d65 imaging standard. In addition, the tv also boasts several “scene” settings including cinema, sports, photo, music, game, graphics, general, and auto. Lcd clouding – several reviewers have complained of lcd clouding.

Please refer to other reviews for more details on the tv itself. I pretty much agree with all that’s been said. Just quickly what i will say about it: overall a very good tv set, although really bad digital image, it’s like watching videos on youtube on low res. It was my fault actually because i didn’t realise that tv’s for hd only read well hd images due to the compression on digital images (sd). Having got past that disappointment, and waiting to move so i can get hd channels connected and buy a blue ray player (dvd images are also a joke, at least without a hdmi connection), i’d like to say: there is no “back” button on the remote. Just a “return” button, which is for coming out of menus, etc. We’re past the 5 channels era.
