SEIKI SE50FO04UK FHD TV : Great TV – no smart, no 3D, just a good basic TV!

Good tv – no clever, no 3d, just a very good essential tv. Exceptional picture (superior than the jvc it replaced) sound okay but not pertinent to me as i use a home theater program. Can document/timeshift to a usb unit (which can be a challenging drive or a memory stick)only 1 tuner, so you have to record the channel currently being watched – but at this cost which is rarely a criticism. There are no wise features, which is superior for me mainly because i can add all the clever abilities i want by using the three hdmi ports. Chromecast + android dongle = all the clever abilities possible, and all upgradeable for future to nothing without the need of waiting around for a (probably non-existent) firmware improve. That mentioned, there is a community connection, but the manual would not say what it can be utilised for. Would have experienced 5 stars, but for the distant which performs. Have to be inside of five feet to function reliably, and immediately in entrance of the tv.

Great tv – no smart, no 3d, just a good basic tv. Excellent picture (better than the jvc it replaced) sound ok but not relevant to me as i use a home theater system. Can record/timeshift to a usb device (which can be a hard drive or a memory stick)only 1 tuner, so you have to record the channel being watched – but at this price that’s hardly a criticism. There are no smart features, which is good for me because i can add all the smart capabilities i want via the 3 hdmi ports. Chromecast + android dongle = all the smart capabilities imaginable, and all upgradeable for next to nothing without waiting for a (probably non-existent) firmware upgrade. That said, there is a network connection, but the manual doesn’t say what it can be used for. Would have had 5 stars, but for the remote which works. Have to be within 5 feet to work reliably, and directly in front of the tv.
