This is a good tv for the income. This is a terrific tv for the money.     I’d better start this review by saying i use the tv. I’d better start this review by saying i use the tv as a monitor only- that is to say, audio is handled by an av receiver, tv is done through youview and i use a logitech harmony remote, so the only thing i use this for is the visual aspect, and at that it excels. I bought this to replace a perfectly good toshiba, which in turn has been used to replace a samsung that has the usual (for samsung) dead lines. I thought the toshiba was good, but the panasonic blows it away. Despite both being 1080p, the panasonic is far sharper and more detailed. Colours are rich and blacks are black. Being led, out-of-the-box the backlight is a bit on the bright side, and i found switching it from “dynamic” to “natural” provided a more suitable brightness level. Connections are plentiful, even providing a scart socket for the cavemen amongst us. It should be noted that this is the first product i have owned that wasn’t in logitech’s database, though teaching it the commands was a 5 minute job.

    Good product but power cable problem. This is a very good tv for the price. The only problem is that the power lead is very short and not easily changeable as it is hard wired in. With most tv’s you can swap the power cables for longer ones but not with this one and this is the main reason for knocking 2 stars off. I was hoping to wall mount it but with such a short power cable that is not going to happen.

    The first one arrived and made a high pitched whine which i beleive was from a fan. That cured itself over time. A replacement has numrous verticle lines on the picture and is being returned. The first one will be retained and seems to work fine.

    The sound is poor and there is no code for the remote to. Everything works, but , the sound is poor and there is no code for the remote to be sorted. Surely panasonic can do better ?.

      Not compatible with xbox kinect commands. Doesn’t work with xbox one kinect commands (e. “volume up”) – otherwise perfectly good.
