    I bought this tv 1 month ago and have connected my pc and ps3 through it. The tv adjusted to the correct resolution (1600×1050) for my pc and acts as a superb monitor. Though to achieve this i had to buy a high quality gold plated svga cable. A lower quality cable gave the text on screen fuzzy edges. Blu-ray movies are amazing on this tv and the full hd (1920×1080) resolution makes a big difference. The extra lines on the screen give more detailed and crisp pictures. The contrast ratio is amazing. You can set the blacks to be very black using the contrast/brightness controls and have a very good picture at the same time with the whites coming through brightly. The freeview screen quality is very good with lifelike pictures being achieved.

However, i allowed the using of other so called “unsupported” resolutions in my display settings, where i chose the full hd 1920×1080 and it works great now. The sound is good but for those, who it is not good enough for, can use digital or analogue connectors for their audio systems. The picture quality is superb through out. With hd input the clarity and fidelity is astonishing. While this is not a full hd image, it is still sharper and with a greater depth in colour than with sd. As a pc monitor, it is somewhat too large foe my needs but still gives breathtakingly sharp pictures. The sound quality is good, it would be improved by surround sound speakers, but the ones on the set are fine. It comes with a dtv freeeview tuner which is easy to use and works perfectly well with a small indoor aerial.

Its a distortion that can be heard when and during most news interviews or on sports commentaries. Cant exchange it now and have been advised to have external speakers. Live in a small cottage and have a wife who can’t stand high or loud sounds,so although the external amp/speakers is an option it will be an expensive waste.
